1. My watch stopped working, why? Is it my battery?
Depending on the watch mechanism it can be a number of things. If your watch runs on batteries, it’s often a weak or dead watch battery that may be the cause. Frequently by replacing the watch battery and resealing the watch your timepiece will be fixed. At Peter’s watch repair we have the right replacement batteries and professional resealing equipment to ensure proper installation
2. My automatic watch is not accurate and stops working often. What is the cause?
Automatic watches have a self winding mechanism where mainspring is wound automatically. Many fine watches such as Rolex, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin have self winding mechanisms. To determine the root cause of the problem, please bring your timepiece to Peter so that he can professionally open the case and provide his assessment of the problem.
3. What is resealing and why do I need it?
When watch is open for any repair including battery replacement it must be properly closed and resealed. Most watches have seals to prevent moisture from entering the interior of the watch. By using the latest industry equipment, we perform water pressure test to ensure proper sealing of the watch according to manufacturers specifications.
4. My crystal cracked, can my watch be restored?
